The decomposition of violets begins upon entering the door, it was a Saturday night at the Berwin Entertainment Center.
A decision to drink or urinate. A sermon by the Reverend Peter Popoff blared through loudspeakers above the toilets (he is supposed to be a faith healer).
At the end of a row of stained glass windows a man is dragging himself through a roll of barbed wire, ripping the flesh off his body, and below the video screen are the heads of the crowd: a landscape in rainbows of hair pulsating with each frequency modulation of the music piping into the room. In the other room is a stage and more people than before. In front of the stage is a woman in black, she strokes her arms with fire, she eats fire, the woman in black leaves and so does the light.
A moment of silence is broken by hooting and chanting. Bodies pressed tightly together through the darkness, only their silhouettes can be seen on stage, chanting dwindles in anticipation, then the moment, their sound rises like a mountain, bringing with it light, the light reflects off the blade of a bayonet playing guitar. A woman's voice rains throughout thr room. As she plays keyboards.
His words begin, the mountain is still rising. The crowd is hanging on tight. In sleepwalk you can see over the top of the mountain to an unknown part of the world, a journey through pleasure and pain.
