Casey Chaos

Over 30 years ago, the biggest tour in punk rock was announced and featured the Sex Pistols, Clash, and The Damned. The Damned were considered the anti-Beatles, and consisted of the only local punks who could actually play their instruments. Today the founding members of the Damned, Rat Scabies and Brian James, are announcing the 30-year anniversary of the release of their debut album "Damned Damned Damned" and will be performing the album in its entirety at the legendary 100 Club in London. And what's more, they've decided that Casey Chaos from Amen will be the lead singer for the evening.

RAT SCABIES- "Brian and I were quite adamant to have Casey do this gig- there were no other names above his. Amen is the only band I've seen in the last 10 years who are truly punk rock.
We dont know what will happen when Casey gets onstage with us- and thats the way we like it."

Since the original lineup of The Damned disbanded, Rat penned a fictional biography called "Rat Scabies and the Holy Grail" which became a top seller for the drummer previously known as "the Keith Moon of Punk." Guitarist Brian James formed The Lords Of The New Church with Stiv Bators of The Dead Boys. Meanwhile a young rebellious punk rocker named Casey Chaos was watching and listening to their every move.

CASEY CHAOS- "To share the stage with Rat And Brian on this night will be engraved into my epitaph as The Most Important Show Of My Life! -- "Damned Damned Damned" changed my life as well as musical history. I'm gonna treat this with the utmost respect for them and their fans. I want to do everything I can to do it justice and make Rat, Brian, Captain, Vanian, Algy and everyone else proud of what they have achieved and celebrate their contribution to punk rock and the legacy that they left . To say that I am humbled and honored is inappropriate. I am ready to slash my throat at the altar of The Damned in dedication
to all the lives they changed. I am ready to destroy."

This show will be at London's 100 Club on July 6th, 2006

Rozz Williams Remembered

I have just been involved in an in depth interview with Mick Mercer about my collection and website to tie in with the 8th anniversary of his passing

I hope you enjoy it, there's much more besides the Rozz article of course. The Rozz article, however, is towards the end of the magazine.

http://www.mickmercer.com/pdfs/the_mick_26.pdf

'THE MICK is online and it’s going to be brilliant – featuring a fantastic interview with Rat Scabies, Push and Richard Bellia about the ‘Rat Scabies & The Holy Grail’ book,
and a very cool piece which looks at Rozz Wiliams through the eyes of his most dedicated collector, John Collins.
You’ll find pieces on photographer Cyndee Arroyo and composer Alex Otterlei, plus bands as gloriously varied as Bloody Dead & Sexy, Pro-jekt, Misterlee, Zero Le Creche
(yes, I tracked down Terry for an interview!) along with previously unpublished photo(spread)s on the Carter Family, including Johnny Cash, and Specimen (in colour)

The Implicate Order

Rozz and Gitane's old drummer, Justin Bennett has interestingly formed a new experimental project with Paris called The Implicate Order.

The Implicate Order Volume 3 is set to be released late spring 2006. Recording is almost finished and the collections final track selection and title will be determined soon

for more information and free downloads of earlier material, here is their website

The Implicate Order is:
Justin Bennett
el clon
Paris

Crossed Paths...
Justin and el clon have been experimenting with sound together since the early
1990's when they played in the industrial band Sick. They
recorded their first ambient experimental pieces as a side project during this time
(a habit that would eventually lead to The Implicate Order ten years later...)
In 1994 Justin and Paris met when they joined industrial project Penal Colony for a
US tour. Justin then joined Paris's Los Angeles experimental troupe EXP, which
released a self-titled full length on Triple X records in 1996. Later Paris and Justin
recorded as the ambient abstract group Face, which released A Picture of End on
Tone Casualties Records in 1997. They also spent time working together
in the live bands for both Rozz Williams and Gitane Demone's solo outings.
Justin and el clon reunited and started recording experimental pieces again in the
late 1990's along with Paris and The Implicate Order unfolded...

Outside The Implicate Order...
Justin currently performs with Skinny Puppy, Peter Murphy, and
My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult. His past work includes
Professional Murder Music (with a self-titled full length on
Geffen Records in 2001 and Looking Through on Underground Inc in 2003)
as well as, Pigface, Rachel Stamp,
Penal Colony, EXP, Face, and Skumlove.

Paris has performed and recorded with inumerable bands and performers,
including Involution, Shadow Project, Penal Colony,
Christian Death, EXP, Face, and many others.
He recently returned to Los Angeles from Berlin, Germany and is
currently working on new EXP material.

el clon recieved a masters degree in music and released his first solo
CD Falling Rooms in 2002. He has since launched the el clon website and
recently released his second CD Sleeping Sickness. And another new release featuring Paris:
